InstallAwards 2015: Education winners

The education category, sponsored by Tech&Learning UK, featured a variety of innovative projects from secondary and higher education and products solving a number of key issues in the sector.

The Best Project Award was won by CDEC for its Leicester BSF Project. For this initiative, the council received funding to rebuild/remodel every secondary school in the city integrating bespoke and futureproof AV solutions.

Leicester City Council was awarded more than £235m BSF funding for the project, which is the largest capital investment for over 50 years, the project involved 16 secondary schools, five special schools and three ICT only schemes.

The Education category was rounded off with the Star Product Award, which was won by Panasonic for their PT-RZ370 projector and collected on stage by PR manager Gareth Day (pictured). Kingston University’s existing stock was replaced with 170 Panasonic projectors across the university, which emit less heat and noise and provide 20,000 hours of maintenance free use.
