Installation magazine, March edition, now available

Our latest issue features a pro displays special, the second part of our report on semiconductor shortages, features on AI & machine learning in pro audio and the growing importance of intercoms, plus a preview of the Smart Building Conference taking place ahead of ISE 2022 in Barcelona

Our latest edition of Installation – available below includes a 16-page displays special. Futuresource Consulting predicted “strong growth now and ahead” for pro displays in its latest trends forecast, Tech Perspective 2022: Pro AV Trends eBook. The organisation has looked ahead as vendors respond to the new demands for collaboration tools, webcams, headsets, displays, and connectivity, and says that end users are likely to start using a combination of LCD, LED and projection for experiential installations, particularly in the corporate environment. The two display features – pro and residential – delve even deeper in the pages of Installation.

The second part of our Covid & Chips report on the semiconductor (and more!) shortage includes the opinions of some of our industry’s leading movers and shakers – and, given events in Eastern Europe, it looks like things might get worse before they get better. According to a new report, the conflict in Ukraine raises fresh concerns over prolonged material shortages and price rises. Katie Tamblin, author of the Achilles Supply Chain Resilience Index, commented: “Supply chain data emerging from Q4 2021 was already indicating that 2022 would be a rocky road for global supply chains, and now with the additional conflict in Ukraine, the outlook is extremely concerning”.

Elsewhere in this issue, we look at the rise of AI and machine learning in pro audio, the importance of intercom tech, and the forthcoming Smart Buildings Conference, taking place as part of ISE 2022, the day before the exhibition begins.
