Innovason shifts Eclipse manufacturing to Germany

French manufacturer Innovason has moved final assembly of the Eclipse to the newly completed production facilities of majority owner Lawo in Germany.

French manufacturer Innovason has moved final assembly of the Eclipse to the newly completed production facilities of majority owner Lawo in Germany. Relocating the final assembly of Eclipse consoles to Rastatt, Germany, is said to be Innovason’s response to the growing demand for its latest console.

Although Eclipse manufacturing has moved to Germany, the Sy80 will continue to be made in France, while functions such as sales, admin and R&D will also be ongoing at the company’s Plougoumelen HQ. Innovason operations director Gerard Malvot and product development manager Hervé de Caro will visit the new production facilities on a regular basis, but are not relocating to Germany.

“With the increased demand for Eclipse, we had reached the limits of our manufacturing capabilities at our own premises in Plougoumelen,” said de Caro. “The move to Rastatt will significantly increase both the speed and efficiency of the production process. We will also be able to take advantage of the fact that Lawo actually manufactures many of its own components, which are naturally of the very highest quality. As a result, the finished product will be of even better quality than before.”

Innovason’s international sales director, Marcel Babazadeh, added: “Lawo has one of the most sophisticated production facilities in the world, combined with extremely knowledgeable and experienced staff. I am delighted that we are able to benefit from these facilities, which means that our customers will benefit too. When you combine the resources made available to us at Lawo with the vision and the creativity of the Innovason R&D team, I am confident that Innovason can look forward to a bright and exciting future.”
