InfoComm International pairs with C2G to offer training on video technologies and trends

The two webinars from cabling solutions provider C2G will form part of InfoComm International's UK Webinar Series. Both will discuss topics pertaining to the latest video technologies and trends in the industry.

Cabling and connectivity solutions provider C2G will partner with global AV association InfoComm International to provide two web-based training seminars focusing on A/V technologies on 12 December 2012 and 9 January 2013.

The two seminars will form part of InfoComm International’s UK Webinar Series, and will be presented by Joe Cornwall, technology evangelist at C2G’s parent company, Lastar.

The seminars will aim to keep AV professionals – such as integrators, architects, consultants, and contractors –up to date with current trends and new technologies in the industry.

The first seminar, USB for A/V Applications, will be delivered live on 12 December 2012 at 1:00pm (GMT). The webinar will discuss the inception and evolution of the USB standard, which tools can be used to troubleshoot USB connectivity, and the potential challenges that should be avoided when integrating common data connections with an AV installation project.

The second, Perspectives on Digital Video Technology will be presented live on 9 January 2013 at 1:00pm (GMT). This will focus on the worldwide movement in replacing analogue video technologies with digital solutions. This session will cover how digital video connectivity evolved, including how and when signals might be transcoded, what carriage limitations may be present, and how these connectivity topologies may affect future product and technology development.
