InfoComm has announced it has signed a friendship agreement with the Spanish AV association Asociación de Fabricantes, Importadores de Sonido, Iluminacion y Tecnologias Audiovisuales (Afial).
The deal, which was struck at InfoComm 2016 is part of a broader commitment from InfoComm to expand into Europe and promote the development of the AV industry in Spain. With the signing of this agreement, the two organisations will work together to promote education standards and best practice in Spain.
Pam Taggart, CTS, senior director of development Europe at InfoComm International noted: “This is a great fit for both organisations. We have similar goals widening of the availability of good AV education. Our new understanding with Afial perfectly fits in with this aim.”
Afial brings together manufacturers, importers and installers of professional sound, lighting and audiovisual technology working in Spain. The organisation looks to optimise the development of the AV industry through improving the professional skills of technicians and testing competency levels.
