IBC and TVBEurope partner for conference support

IBC has announced a new broadcast technology event for engineers, as TVBEurope partners with IBC on events for 2013.

Brand new event IBC London Technology Booster takes place at Dexter House on Wednesday 25 and Thursday 26 June 2013. The conference focuses on the two most disruptive technologies currently impacting upon the market – Cloud Services and Connected Content. “We have had a lot of feedback from vendors and buyers who see great value in the IBC Conference, but are unable to attend as their priorities lie primarily with the exhibition. Many see great opportunities arising with the convergence of services and technologies in the Cloud, and with new technologies for connecting content to consumers, but are unable to keep up with the fast pace of change,”said Professor David Crawford, chair of the IBC London Technology Booster. “We have created the IBC London Technology Booster to overcome this difficulty. New attendees to this event will experience an informative and interactive approach to these topics, and regular IBC Amsterdam Conference delegates will find this a crucial technology booster in the run up to IBC2013.” Expert speakers include Bob Harris, CTO of Channel 4, John Honeycutt, EVP and COO of Discovery Networks International, Professor Ed Candy, CTO, 3 Group, and John Zubrzycki, principal technologist, R&D at the BBC. TVBEurope is a media partner for the event and in turn IBC has pledged its support for TVBEurope’s Beyond HD Masters and IT Broadcast Workflow conferences in 2013. Both events take place at London’s BAFTA with Beyond HD Masters taking place on 11 June, followed by IT Broadcast Workflow on 9 July. Beyond HD Masters follows the successful series of HD and 3D Masters conferences from TVBEurope that helped to chart and forecast the maturation of HD and 3D in the broadcast market. In its fifth year, IT Broadcast Workflow is dedicated to change management, greater operational efficiency, multiple platform delivery and business process management improvement in television broadcasting. Delegate places are now open for both conferences.
