As a result, Patel has become executive director, new business development, and will focus on pan-European product category management for all professional products. Lee Elliott will continue his role as pan-European product manager for CCTV products and will report to Patel.

Meanwhile, Ian Scott – JVC Professional Europe’s director and general manager, UK – has taken on direct responsibility for CCTV business functions, as well as the professional video product ranges in the UK. According to the company, this move will “significantly strengthen” its development in the UK, Irish, MEA and Scandinavian markets.

Invited to look forward to the year ahead, Scott told II: “Our key technology for 2009 focuses on network solutions and solid state media. For the first time, we can offer a choice of camcorder-style and recording media, sophisticated digital signage systems, and full archive, newsroom and playout management systems. Developments in CCTV products include a vastly expanded range of IP-based cameras and domes, dual-stream megapixel cameras, and flexible software systems with network video recording.”
