The new M8 LED display from Aoto, with its 8mm pixel pitch, is claimed to be ‘the highest resolution LED display for outdoor use in the world’, and ‘the new standard for high-end events and the installation market’.
Aoto has been working on rental LED display research since 2004, and has found that users are annoyed by the incompatibility between systems, and want displays that are easy to maintain, cable, and lock. “The market required a new standard with lightweight, high processing depth and nice appearance,” says the company.
It released its modular M series products for fixed installation at ISE 2011, with great success. It already has 3mm, 4mm and 6mm M-series displays for indoors and 10mm and 12mm for indoor/outdoor use, and is launching the new rental M8 and M4.8 at ISE this year.
The 20-bit, low-noise, M8 has a slim 7.7cm design offering a wide view, with anti-UV, high contrast and high refresh rate (4200Hz). Each tile weighs 9.5kg, has full IP65 weather resistance and high precision calibration technology. The tiles have a seamless connection, are curveable and 3D-ready.
