The integrated automation and security manufacturer is a finalist in two categories for the 2010 CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Manufacturers’ Excellence Awards. The winners of this year’s competition are due to be announced on 25 September in the Thomas B. Murphy Ballroom – Building B at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, US.
One of three finalists for the Sustainable Lifestyle Product Innovation Award, HAI’s Omnistat2 thermostat (pictured) enables users to automatically schedule their HVAC settings based upon day of the week and time of day. The thermostat may be controlled remotely via iPhone, PC or other device with a web browser when used in conjunction with an HAI home control system. Omnistat2 has already received a slew of honours, including the CES Innovations Design & Engineering Award and Electronic House Product of the Year Award.
In addition, the Cellular Communication Center (C3) is one of the finalists in the Best New Product Award category. A wireless cellular communicator that allows phone calls to be made over the GSM cellular network using the existing telephones in the user’s home, C3 has also received the CES Innovations Design & Engineering Award, among other honours.
