Geneva venue upgrades with Yamaha

Spectacles Onesiens – a 520-capacity venue in Onex, near Geneva – added a Yamaha M7CL48-ES and three SB168-ES stage boxes to its inventory during a recent upgrade project.

Spectacles Onesiens – a 520-capacity venue in Onex, near Geneva – added a Yamaha M7CL48-ES and three SB168-ES stage boxes to its inventory during a recent upgrade project.

In conjunction with the M7CL-48ES or the ‘standard’ version of any Yamaha digital mixing console, the SB168-ES stage box allows theatres like Spectacles Onesiens to negate the requirement for a copper multicore. The results, says Yamaha, are easier stage set-ups and maximum audio quality.

The new equipment joins an inventory that also includes Yamaha LS9-32 and O1V-96 digital mixing consoles, as well as a Nexo loudspeaker system. A variety of console deployments are possible depending on the requirements of any given production.

Highlighting the need for versatility, technical manager Jean-Daniel Garcia remarked that “Yamaha and Nexo are international standards and we have used them for over 10 years, so Yamaha was the obvious choice when adding to our inventory of mixing solutions.

“Yamaha digital consoles are easy to use and, of course, very reliable. Once the system was set up it has proved very straightforward to use for our technical staff and visiting engineers. Everyone at the venue is very happy with the sound and they have added a new dimension to our technical inventory.”
