The 4000 Series – to be exhibited at ISE 2011 – is a new range of two-way active loudspeakers from Genelec with additional features designed specifically for the systems integration market.
Both of the models in the new 4000 Series (4020 and 4030) are fitted with ‘Phoenix’ screw terminals in common with the leading products in the audio-visual sector. This ensures an easy, secure connection and interference-free, professional quality sound. The audio performance and stress-free installation is further enhanced by the integrated amplifier. The in-built protection circuitry also guarantees the reliability of the loudspeaker system in all operating conditions, as drivers are electronically protected from signal peaks and misuse of the system.
The precise ‘Room Response’ controls such as calibrated bass tilt, treble tilt and bass roll-off optimise the loudspeaker’s response to different acoustical environments. The integrated support points for Omnimount 20.5 series hardware on the enclosure back panel, and the 3/8” UNC threaded hole at the base of the enclosure and the wide variety of mounting options and accessories available from Genelec, provide versatility to suit a host of installation scenarios.
“We’ve been delighted with the reception that the 4000 Series has received from the systems integration market,” said Terho Savolainen, marketing manager of Genelec. “Many integrators know us for our recording studio products and like the fact that we now provide studio quality audio for the fixed installation market. Following on from this positive response, we’re currently looking at making further developments to our product offering to this market segment as it deserves the best quality audio solutions available.”
