Peter Hall, managing director of leading cinema installer Future Projections, will be speaking on the Entertainment and Hospitality panel at InstallMarket on 4 September.
Future Projections has designed and fitted out cinemas for Picturehouse, Curzon, Warner Brothers, UCI and just about every other major name in UK cinema exhibition. Founded by Hall in 1997, the company quickly grew to meet the technical and design needs of the blossoming art cinema business and the specialist needs of the multiplex operators. In 2000 the company was appointed to represent THX Lucasfilm, and contracts followed with Dolby, Barco, Kinoton and JBL. Following some innovative design-based projects, Future Projections soon built a reputation for delivering the biggest, smallest, highest specified or most difficult cinema and auditorium solutions and designs.
To date, the company has designed and installed more preview theatres, hotels and specialist venues than anyone else, including the UK’s first boothless cinema in 2006. Today Future Projections operates a large hire fleet of DCI and E-cinema equipment as well as maintaining design, installation and maintenance for venues ranging from five-star hotels to Bollywood showplaces. The company is embracing new developments such as immersive sound and laser projection.
The company has just completed a project at the prestigious Ham Yard Hotel – complete with 4k digital and the world’s only twin-level Dolby Atmos install – and Hall will be discussing this project at InstallMarket.
InstallMarket, Installation‘s one-day conference and expo, takes place on 4 September in London. The conference addresses different vertical sectors in the installation market: each sector will be covered by an expert panel comprising a moderator and three panellists – either consultants or integrators with specific sector expertise.
