First showing of Stardraw Design 7 upgrades

Stardaw will be located on its German distributor’s stand (Comm-Tec) at this year’s ISE. The company will showcase an enhanced version of its Stardraw Design 7 application including the new Plan View drawing module which is designed for creatng floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and CAD layouts.

Stardraw.com will attend ISE on the stand of its German distributor Comm-Tec, having recently announced enhancements and upgrades to its Stardraw Design 7 application including the new Plan View drawing module, which will be shown for the first time at ISE 2013.

Plan View is specifically designed for creating floor plans, reflected ceiling plans and general purpose CAD layouts. It exploits Stardraw Design 7’s DWG compatibility to facilitate collaboration with architects, consultants and other AutoCAD users who prefer or require drawing submissions in DWG format.

Since it was first shown at InfoComm 2012, it has been enhanced with the addition of the new Cable Arc tool which makes it easy to document cable runs between installed products. The Plan View module can be chosen for inclusion in any new purchase of Stardraw Design 7 and existing users can purchase it separately to add to an existing configuration.

Other new features include the Paste to Current Layer function, which makes it possible to “combine” views, eg front, side and rear views of a rack in a single drawing or, combine different drawing types, such as rack layout and block schematics and scale them all to size for flexibility when it comes to project presentation and documentation.
Also new is the user-definable minimum printed line width setting to ensure that lines, particularly in light colours, do not appear too faint when output to high-resolution printers. This is important for the presentation of complex, high-resolution projects in a printed format.

The company also recently announced the retirement of the 2007 versions of its design/documentation products, which will be supported until current subscriptions expire.
