Outstanding build quality and supreme AV performance are claimed for the Evolve lifeStream, which centres around its PRIME embedded operating system, based on the Microsoft Windows 7 Embedded platform.

lifeStream allows users to store and play back all their media, including HD movies, music, photos, home videos and streamed content such as YouTube and the BBC iPlayer, through an onscreen user interface described as ‘beautifully simple’.

With the ability to provide audio and video over HDMI, it attaches to any enabled display for instant enjoyment. By connecting a pair of speakers, the lifeStream fires into action the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower 125ASX2 module provides 2 x 125W Class D amplification to the speaker terminals at the rear of the unit.

Charlie Mertz, commercial director at Evolve Media commented: “We’re so pleased to be working with the Bang & Olufsen ICEpower team to make the lifeStream a unique proposition for the discerning consumer and installer alike. It’s great to be able to provide our customers with the flexibility of choosing whether to go surround sound for their movie collection, or employ highly efficient two-channel amplification for connection to their favourite speakers. We chose the ICEpower technology for its audio quality, high efficiency with great power output, and flexibility of operation.
