Oriented towards consultants, sound system designers, installers and end-users, the three-day training course will take place at City Hall, Cardiff, from 6-8 February 2012.
The sessions are geared towards those who wish to learn more about Duran Audio AXYS products and software, and will feature a blend of presentations, demonstrations and practical activities. There will also be some free time set aside for attendees to experiment with the products.
On day one (6 Feb), the focus will be on AXYS Intellivox, familiar from numerous installations in airports, atriums, railway stations, shopping malls, theatres, concert halls, museums and more. Topics on this day will include a product overview, the basic physics of loudspeaker arrays, AXYS directivity concepts, Intellivox design basics, AXYS WinControl software overview, and Intellivox as part of a compliant PA/VA system.
On day two (7 Feb), attention will turn towards the successful design and commissioning of systems with Intellivox products. Attendees will not only learn how to design systems using the AXYS DDA (Digital Directivity Analysis) modelling software, they will also have the opportunity to re-create this design in real life in the large demo space at Cardiff City Hall.
Finally, day three (8 Feb) will focus on the AXYS sound reinforcement range. This session will offer an extensive exploration of available products, including the innovative range of Beam Shaping Subwoofers.
