PlexusAV signs deal with Netchange for Dutch market

PlexusAV's AVoIP solutions will be distributed in the Netherlands by Netchange, which has specialised in transporting audio and video over data networks since 2003

PlexusAV, the pro AV division of Sencore which provides a suite of human-focused AVoIP solutions, has signed a distribution agreement with Dutch distributor Netchange for the market in the Netherlands.

Netchange has transported audio and video over data networks since 2003. Specialising in AV production and distribution, Netchange’s product lines include video capture solutions, cameras, encoders, decoders, recorders, transcoders, and test and measurement devices.

Wim van Dijk, CEO, Netchange and Steven Cogels, global director of business development, PlexusAV

Steven Cogels, global director of business development at PlexusAV, said: “We are thrilled to sign up our third major distributor in Europe over the past two months. Wim van Dijk, Netchange’s CEO, and I have known each other for a very long time. Netchange has held the unique position of being active in both the broadcast and pro AV space for many years. This is the perfect combination to expand the growth of PlexusAV. Netchange fully understands our product line and can provide the highest possible level of support when distributing our products within the region.

Wim van Dijk, CEO, Netchange added: “I have followed the development of both IPMX and PlexusAV with great interest. In essence, all AVoIP solutions are driven by availability of bandwidth and solve this by codec efficiency and buffer optimisation. As a result, the market, in general, has to deal with different competing technical solutions, i.e. UDP, SRT, and HLS for internet contribution and distribution and on the LAN with ST2110, NDI, SDVoE, DanteAV and many proprietary ones.”

He continued: “The introduction of IPMX and PlexusAV to our range is a natural and logical step for Netchange. Since IPMX is based on the ST2110 standard, which is already widely used in the broadcast industry, it helps further reduce AV complexity over IP workflows and increases compatibility. For this reason, our new partnership with PlexusAV is a significant strategic move for Netchange.”

Van Dijk concluded: “Bandwidth availability will continue to grow, increasing the demand for standardised solutions that can be applied across all networks. PlexusAV understands this and delivers us all the tools to make this happen. These, combined with our long track record in pro AV and broadcast, mean we have all the ingredients to make this partnership a huge success.”
