Brompton Technology has announced that Ark Ventures – which is based in East Asia and operates from bases in Tokyo, Japan and Seoul, South Korea – is the first company worldwide to invest in its new Tessera SQ200 LED processor, following a deal confirmed during IBC 2025 in Amsterdam.

Brompton says the SQ200 is its most powerful processor to date, built on its Gen 3 platform and capable of handling uncompressed 8K video-over-IP at 60fps and 12-bit colour over a single 100Gb Ethernet cable. It also supports SMPTE ST 2110, redundant 100Gb links, and irregular canvas sizes up to 64K pixels in any dimension, according to the company. Fully compatible with existing Tessera XD units and Brompton-powered panels, the processor is designed to deliver 20 times the power of the Tessera SX40.
Ark Ventures, part of the Symunity Group, has been a long-term Brompton partner and was the first Asian integrator to be certified as a Brompton Hydra Partner earlier this year. The company will now receive advanced training and support from Brompton to maximise its use of the SQ200 in upcoming projects.
Richard Mead, CEO, Brompton Technology, said: “We are delighted that Ark Ventures is the first company to place a stocking order for our Tessera SQ200. Its decision to adopt the SQ200 is a powerful statement of confidence and ensures it can continue bringing new levels of innovation to their customers.”
David Oh, exclusive director at Ark Ventures, added: “We’re thrilled to be the first company in the world to invest in Brompton’s next-generation LED processing platform. With its flagship 8K Tessera SQ200, we can unlock unprecedented performance and creative possibilities.”
