AWE announces distribution deal with Stealth Acoustics

News was announced at a preview of AWE Expo, on 15-16 May, at which visitors will see the new Music Room, and upgrades to the Reference Cinema and Performance Cinema rooms

AWE has announced it has become the UK distributor of US company Stealth Acoustics and will host an exclusive preview of brand-new models at AWE Expo, which takes place at the AWE Show Apartment, in Epsom, on 15-16 May.

The news was announced at a special press preview on 13 May, of the AWE Expo event, at which the new AWE Music Room was also showcased, alongside upgrades to the Reference Cinema and Performance Cinema display rooms.

Stealth Acoustics is synonymous with flat radiating invisible, or hidden, architectural speaker solutions. The first model was released in 2003. At AWE Expo, visitors will get a first look at the new generation of LineaRadiance invisible speakers.

Stuart Tickle, managing director, AWE, said: “Invisible and discrete speaker solutions is a growing marketplace, and one in which AWE has been keen to offer a class-leading solution for. To be frank, our no-compromise approach meant that we have had to wait patiently for the right partner and product, and Stealth Acoustics’ new Gen 8 models with a 17-year warranty offers just that for our customers”.

Brian Azzano, vice president, Stealth Acoustics, said: “I couldn’t be more excited about our new distribution partnership with AWE in the UK. We’ve had a great run with our long-time friends and partners there over the years, but AWE is able to bring a level of scale and service to our brand that we feel is necessary for an ever-expanding product category such as invisible speakers.”

LineaRadiance is the 8th generation of Stealth Acoustics’ flat radiating diaphragm speakers. The line-up offers a flexible solution as the speakers can be plastered up to, plastered over, painted or wallpapered over, among other options.

Up to five new full-range speaker models are planned for release in 2024 to complete the ‘family’ of 8th-generation invisible speaker/subwoofer offerings. AWE will be releasing full details and receiving stocks of the current range and the first of the brand-new models in May, ready to ship beginning in June.

Meanwhile, visitors to AWE Expo, will be able to visit the new Music Room and try out audiophile quality stereo systems, featuring kit from Denon, Marantz, Classe and Bowers & Wilkins.

In the upgraded Reference Cinema room, technology on display includes a 4m wide ADEO  MovieMask LR screen with Reference White fabric and side masking. Driving the audio are the high-end AV amp and processor, the Marantz AMP 10 & AV 10, which powers 15 channels. Four Bowers & Wilkins  CDA-2HD amplifiers are powering CT-SW15 15” subwoofers and CI800 Diamond Series speakers.

Also on view will be the complete range of Sony home cinema projectors, including the GTZ-380, which provides 10,000 lumens of brightness with a 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut.

Finally, in the upgraded Performance Cinema, on display will be the latest Bowers & Wilkins ISW-8 12” in-wall subwoofers, powered by the new CDA-2HD amplifiers. The Marantz Cinema 50 provides upgraded processing and Dirac Live calibration, with power from the Marantz AMP 10 amplifier.

There will also be a 3.34m wide Adeo fixed FramePro RE screen with VisionAcoustik  acoustically transparent fabric. This is combined with Epson’s EH-LS12000B true 4K laser projector.
