DisplayForum comes to the UK for the first time

DisplayForum 2010 - jointly convened by market research companies Meko and DisplaySearch - will focus on green issues together with the 3D opportunity/risk.

Meko and DisplaySearch, two market research consultancies specialising in the displays industry and headquartered in Europe and North America respectively, have announced DisplayForum 2010. An annual event since 2002, DisplayForum this year will be held 2-3 November at the London Heathrow Hilton Hotel. The first day features GLADE 2010 – Green Large Area Displays in Europe – while the second day is titled ‘3D Vision Europe’.

The agenda for GLADE will review relevant legislation, and look at energy reduction, reuse and recycling, while 3D Vision Europe will review the whole 3D market from TV broadcasting and cinema to PC gaming and professional displays.

“This will be our seventh DisplayForum event with our partners, DisplaySearch – and the first in the UK,” said Bob Raikes (pictured), founder and managing director of Meko. “The DisplayForum events are the only events for the display industry in Europe that are designed for the display business. While other events cover science and technology, DisplayForum has developed a reputation as a great place to get market understanding (and data!) as well as excellent opportunities to network with key players in the industry, not just from Europe, but from Asia and the US as well.”

“The DisplayForum events are where the display ‘insiders’ meet,” he continued. “Feedback from previous delegates has encouraged us to this year cover two key topics for display brands and makers: 3D and ‘green’ issues. Both topics will provide market opportunities as well as risks for everyone in the business and in the supply chain.”
