DIS secures landmark Middle East orders

Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) has four confirmed orders from Saudi Arabia for a major project involving the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAUHS).

Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) has four confirmed orders from Saudi Arabia for a major project involving the King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (KSAUHS).

Designed to serve as a ‘national monument’ and an ‘outstanding centre’ of research and education in the Middle East, KSAUHS incorporates colleges of medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, basic health sciences, applied medical sciences, and public health and health informatics.

As a result of the new orders, DIS will deliver a significant quantity of DCS 6000 conference equipment, including approximately 90 Control Units and more than 1,000 articles of DC 6120P Conference Units, IR Transmitters and Radiators. Around 700 DR 6008 receivers will also be supplied as part of orders totalling more than US$1m.

The equipment – all of which is due to be shipped before the end of the calendar year – will be installed in four different locations across Saudi Arabia, namely: Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah and Hassa.

DIS area sales manager Chris Hellmuth told IE: “We’ve been working on this project for years now and are very happy that we could finally close this deal. Our DCS 6000 system has excellent references in Saudi Arabia like, for example, the Al Shura Parliament or PNU University. Our products are known to be very reliable when used on a daily [basis] and therefore they have an excellent price/value rate.”
