Danish Interpretation Systems (DIS) has welcomed onboard Turkish integrators Avitec as its distributors for the region.
Following initial negotiations which took place mid-2011, and the recognition that Avitec has a reputable track record in the Turkish market, DIS saw that the young AV company could help them deliver for the Turkish market.
“I’m really looking forward to working with the professional Avitec team and from both sides we have high expectations for developing the Turkish conference equipment market,” explained DIS regional sales manager Jan Villumsen. The Copenhagen-based company has also reported that it held two training seminars in Dubai for its Middle Eastern partners at the beginning of May. Partners from Bahrain, Iran, Iraq, Oman, Qatar and UAE were trained on new products such as the Digital Discussion System DDS 5900 and how to handle the CP 7851 camera and microphone control package. Area sales manager Chris Hellmuth commented: “As the seminar concept was different compared to previous years, we were worried if we could attract enough people to attend. But although each seminar was only three hours long it didn’t scare away our valuable partners at all. It seems that with our new product lines we exactly meet market demands as well as expectations from our clients, and therefore they don’t mind even to fly in as it’s worth the time and money.” www.dis.cc
