“The whole world is changing to HDMI” proclaimed Crestron International’s Stijn Ooms at the start of a presentation which detailed the control technology company’s many and varied new developments in the digital domain.
Crestron’s DigitalMedia HDMI switching solution – which can cope with displaying different sourced material and manage all the data transmitted on the signals, including HDCP and EDID – is explored at ISE through a selection of fully active products. In addition to HDMI, DigitalMedia also accepts, manages and distributes all analogue video – including stereo, SPDIF and 7.1 surround sound – Ethernet, USB, KVM, power, and control over Cat5e or fibre.
Ooms also introduced the press corp to a new line of ultra-slim, low-profile HD touchpanels. 2in deep, the V-Panels provide VESA mount installation in addition to desktop and flush wall-mount. Other touchpanels on display include the TPS-6X and TPMC-4SM, as well as the TPMC-3X handheld WiFi touchpanel.
The Prodigy line of home control products and the MPC all-in-one classroom control solution are also part of Crestron’s ISE inventory.
