The company has also issued details of a new surround-sound loudspeaker system entitled BPT. The new website from Crystal Acoustics – which was formerly known as Crystal Audio in the UK – is designed to offer visitors a more “vibrant” and “seamless” view of the manufacturer’s extensive product portfolio.

Purchase via the website (link below) is designed to be quick and easy, and is complemented by 60-day home trial, free shipping and a 10-year warranty. New navigational tools allow access to detailed information on every single Crystal Acoustics product, while the Technical Area includes an extensive FAQ section with detailed data on topics including THX specification and system set-up.

A Reference Recordings section, news and product reviews, and Interactive Room Acoustics Designer for optimal loudspeaker configuration are among the other features of the new website, which was the subject of “extensive investment” by Crystal Acoustics.

In other news, Crystal Acoustics has unveiled a new surround system. The £600 BPT system comprises sleek, compact, 105cm-high tower speakers, finished in a luxurious high gloss black to complement today’s ultra-slimline screens. The speakers make use of bipolar technology with an arrangement of two 7.5cm drivers pointing in different directions, wired in-phase, which is said to offer a closer match to the surround speakers found in cinemas. A timbre-matched centre channel is said to handle dialogue “with aplomb”, while the THX Select-certified THX-10SUBt provides the low-end power with flat anechoic response from 35Hz to 200Hz and accurate in-room response from 19Hz to 350Hz.

A high-quality 120W amplifier offers “impressively high sensitivity” of 92dB/W/m, while the overall system is matched by BPS 2.0 ultra-compact speakers, available at £119 per pair.
