Talk & Vision has been carrying out managed services for 10 years, but only introduced the full MAVIS portfolio in 2008. There are now a total of nine different MAVIS packages, all tailored to the users’ wishes and requirements. The managed services are said to make it easier for companies to start using this technology, while the shared infrastructural platform enables several organisations to use the same video platform, thereby limiting costs.
Further support is provided in the form of remote management from a Customer Service Center (such as that pictured here in Linschoten in The Netherlands) that entails the installation of central management software on the customer’s network.
Scott Taylor, country manager UK for Talk & Vision, told II: “More and more companies want to outsource services to experts to ensure they get the best possible services and return on the investment rather than train internal staff. By outsourcing not only the service but also the equipment it is possible to offer the best services without any capital investment or specialist staff.”
