ClearOne BluePort extends reach of UC

ClearOne's BluePort extends the reach of unified communications in the workplace, enabling employees to collaborate and share audio content for presentations, corporate announcements and other streaming content though a Bluetooth enable device.

Described as an in-wall wireless audio gateway for simplifying connectivity between conference rooms, offices and other common business settings, ClearOne’s BluePort extends the reach and ease of unified communications in the workplace and allows employees to collaborate and share audio content for presentations, corporate announcements and other streaming content through an enterprise-class Bluetooth enabled device. According to ClearOne, BluePort offers tremendous convenience and a rich, crystal-clear audio experience not obtainable on a traditional handheld device. BluePort’s front panel provides a ‘pairing’ button for linking BluePort with the Bluetooth enabled transmitting device, and a small LED, which indicates pairing and transmission status. The in-wall device fits into a single-gang switchbox. Multiple BluePort units can be installed in one system and used simultaneously with different Bluetooth sources. Installers can choose from a variety of 16 zones to configure audio systems by the zone location (for example, lobby, boardroom etc) or by identifying name, such as BluePort 1 or BluePort 2.
Also on show is ClearOne’s range of audio and teleconferencing microphones, including one designed expressly for ceiling installation. Conceived for group meeting environments not suited to tabletop solutions, the new model is described as a high performance, three-element microphone which minimises ambient noise from ceiling sources while delivering full 360° coverage.
The new ceiling microphone takes advantage of ClearOne HDConference technology. It employs an auto-mixer circuit, providing adaptive ambient response with first microphone priority. Cable connections are via an RJ45 jack and Cat5/6/7 cable. www.clearone.com
