Christie strengthens Nitro Solutions business

Christie Nitro Solutions are integrated moving yokes and digital projector systems designed for staging and event applications, and the company has now charged Dominic Denis with developing its Nitro business in EMEA.

Christie has announced the appointment of Dominique Denis (pictured) to the position of market development manager for Europe, the Middle East and Africa for Nitro Solutions. While maintaining his role as events sales manager for France, Denis will also be responsible in his new role for developing Christie’s Nitro Solutions range of moving yokes for video projection and LED and Xenon lighting systems, for the EMEA market.

Denis will continue to monitor and develop Christie’s relationships with rental companies and service providers in the events market.

“Dominique’s appointment is an affirmation of the substantive work he’s done in the events market since he joined the company in September 2006 and reflects Christie’s determination to work toward the convergence of the lighting and video projection businesses,” said regional director Pascal Gervais.

“The ProLight & Sound trade fair in Frankfurt confirmed the potential for the growth of Christie’s Nitro Solutions products in a high-demand market. Dominique’s appointment moves us in this direction,” said Dale Miller, vice president, Christie EMEA.

Before joining Christie, Denis held a number of marketing positions with major players in the visualisation solutions market. He began his career in 1995 as a sales engineer at Philips Lighting. While at Philips, he went on to serve as key accounts manager for four years and then sales manager France for the optical lamp market for three years.

In 2004, he joined Barco as sales manager in charge of the “events” market. Denis, 41, holds an engineering degree in physicochemical measurement instrumentation from EUDIL (now part of the Polytech’Lille school of engineering in Lille, France) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology from the IUT technical university in Nantes, France.
