CEDIA has announced details of its autumn/winter education programme, writes David Davies. Designed to provide an insight into the home-automation industry, the CEDIA courses – which include separate five-day installer and design schools – will take place at the organisation’s St Neots HQ and in Maidstone during October and November.

As part of the programme, there will be opportunities to sit the Installer Level 1 Revision and Exam, which takes place over one day and is aimed at people who wish to become CEDIA Installer Level 1 Certified. There is also a five-day Installer School (20-24 October), developed for less experienced individuals with a view to them taking the CEDIA Installer Level 1 Exam; a five-day design course (3-7 November), which will introduce the elements of integration design and will culminate with the Designer Level 1 Exam; a one-day revision and exam session (28 November) for those wishing to become CEDIA Designer Level 1 Certified; a Technical Foundation Course (13 and 14 October); and an Introduction to UK Custom Installation (15 and 16 October).

Rounding out CEDIA’s autumn/winter education schedule is the Business and Technology Forum, set to take place on 9 and 10 October at the Marriott Tudor Park Hotel in Bearsted, Kent.
