CEDIA is to hold a two-day education event for the Italian residential CI sector on Wednesday 3 and Thursday 4 October 2012 at the Devero Hotel, Milan. This adds to a growing programme of industry training programmes across Region 1.

Specifically designed for the Italian CI market, this event will provide integrators with technical and business training to increase their levels of knowledge and skills.

Available courses include:
– Home Cinema Design Workshop;
– Developing Profitable Business Processes;
– The Art of Project Documentation;
– IP for Integrators;
– Structured Cabling Infrastructures and HDMI Distribution.
All courses will be conducted in English with real-time Italian translation. Delegates will also have the opportunity to take the CEDIA EST 2 Certification examination in Italian.

On the evening of Wednesday 3 October, CEDIA members are invited to attend a special VIP CEDIA networking event for the design professionals’ community of architects, interiors designers and developers. This will feature an introduction to CEDIA and an insight into what the Association represents, followed by a short presentation ‘Designing Integrated Future-Ready Homes’ and drinks reception.

Presenters Geoff Meads (Presto AV) and Matt Dodd (CEDIA education chair), have a proven passion for interactive learning, and have worked closely with clients and learners to develop bespoke, creative and interactive training sessions. Meads is a technical trainer with experience in the home technology sector, and has taught for CEDIA for nearly a decade. Matt Dodd is also managing director of UK systems integrator ThinkingBricks.

“We’re offering a tailor-made range of courses to Italian designers and installers during an intensive, two-day schedule of education in Milano,” said Dodd. “This event will help grow the market in Italy, and increase the level of know-how and expertise as integrators seek to grow their business.”

Prices for courses range from €90 to €340 for CEDIA members and €120 to €480 for non-members. Comapnies wishing to benefit from subsidised course prices are advised to join as a CEDIA member now; to take advantage of CEDIA’s reduced membership rates, email Michelle Ford, [email protected]. Michelle Ford is also the contact to discuss sponsorship opportunities.
