CEDIA Awards 2013 supports Macmillan cancer charity

CEDIA will donate £5 from the sale of each ticket to the event to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity.

CEDIA has announced it will be making a contribution to cancer support by donating £5 from the sale of each CEDIA Award’s ticket to the Macmillan Cancer Support charity. The CEDIA Awards will be held at The Pavilion at the Tower of London on Friday 28 June 2013.

“£2 a month for one year pays for a Macmillan nurse for an hour, so £5 for each ticket sold is going to have a massive effect on the lives of those suffering from a disease that touches so many. It’s wonderful to be able to run an event which highlights our industry’s hard work, alongside contributing to a good cause,” explains Wendy Griffiths, CEDIA’s Region 1 executive director. “Macmillan is a great place to direct our efforts, as they provide support not only for the sufferers of cancer, but their loved ones who also fall victim to the disease.”

Pauline Craig, fundraising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support said: “We are delighted to have been chosen as the charity beneficiary for the 2013 CEDIA Awards ceremony. It is a fantastic event and is set in such a stunning location, it’s sure to be wonderful evening.”

Early Bird ticket to CEDIA’s black tie event, which includes a sit down dinner and drinks, are priced at £130 per person, or £1,100 for a table of 10, excluding VAT. Please note that the discount is available until Friday 5th April 2013.
