CEDIA announces new board at 2009 AGM

The organisation has revealed the results of elections for the new CEDIA Region 1 Board. Among the new arrivals, Rufus Greenway from Sound Environment becomes marketing chair, while Gary Lewis (Future Systems) will now serve as UK outreach chair.

The organisation has revealed the results of elections for the new CEDIA Region 1 Board. Among the new arrivals, Rufus Greenway from Sound Environment becomes marketing chair, while Gary Lewis (Future Systems) will now serve as UK outreach chair.

Meanwhile, Marc Etienne-Huneau (Dark Side of the Room) has been appointed to the role of international outreach chair, and Wim de Vos (Genesis Technologies) assumes responsibility for international membership.

Adrian Blundell (CSE Custom) takes over the role of expo-chair, while Fraser Stride (Finite Solutions) is to serve as the new vice chair and treasurer. Robert Hallam (InControl) will continue to serve as chairman.

Stepping down from the Board are Jane Scotland (Beyond The Invisible), Paul Helliar (D&T Electronics) and Stuart Tickle (AWE Europe).

The full run-down of the new Board is as follows: Robert Hallam (chairman), Fraser Stride (vice chair), Simon Buddle (SMC, education chair), Rufus Greenway (marketing chair), Gary Lewis (UK outreach chair), Marc-Etienne Huneau (international outreach chair), Adrian Blundell (Expo chair), Wim de Vos (international membership chair), David Graham (Grahams Hi-Fi, UK membership chair) and Simon Williams (Olive, immediate past chairman).

“On behalf of CEDIA Region 1, I’d like to thank all the departing Board members for their commitment and dedication to the organisation’s work and the development of the industry,” said Robert Hallam (pictured). “It’s great to welcome new Board members with fresh ideas on how we take the industry forward. It’s also especially gratifying to see additional international representation with the election of Marc-Etienne and Wim to the Board as we seek to drive up standards across the Region.”
