CEDIA announces ISF course

The Imaging Science Foundation (ISF) is in the Display Standards Industry. The course aims to educate any persons involved with electronic images in integral practices.

CEDIA will partner up with Imaging Science Foundation (ISF), a company which aims to improve the quality of electronic imaging, to offer a comprehensive electronic imaging course to be held at Panasonic’s Pinewood Studios in Birmingham 17 – 19 April. Attendees, which are likely to be home theatre enthusiasts, HD manufacturing product managers, gaming creators and broadcast execs, can expect to receive an “excellent perspective on delivering professional services for accurate and dependable electronic imaging.” Day one of the course – instructed by Joe Silver, president and found of the ISF – will cover a range of ISF1 curriculum including 3D mathematical imaging and an introduction to colour management, as well as basic video processing and HD and SD encoding. The following two days will focus on ISL Level 2, to provide a more practical approach to ISF software guided solutions for advanced calibration. It also aims to look at system parameters including: EEDID/HDMI verification, 3D colour management and system building diagnosis. “This course combines both the ISF Level 1 and 2 courses in a three day experience that will change the way you view TV and projector setup forever,” said Matt Dodd, CEDIA’s education chair. “Attendees of the ISF course will have the opportunity to experience various types of world-class test equipment, as well as learning about a multitude of different design and calibration applications. ISF calibrators are the worlds most respected video installation engineers and this course is essential for anyone serious about providing high performance home cinema experiences.” www.cedia.co.ukwww.imagingscience.com
