CEDIA 2012: Amina Technologies set to unveil new ‘invisible’ loudspeaker

The new loudspeaker comes as an 'invisible' solution designed for residential audio applications where wide high frequency is required, such as residential home theatres.

British high tech speaker design company Amina Technologies is set to launch its brand new audiophile flagship product, the 2-way AIW750E, at this year’s CEDIA show. The product boosts a 200w peak power handling (100w full continuous IEC) with an efficiency of 87dB 1m/1w after applying a full 2mm plaster skim coat. By using two separate optimised panels fed via an external crossover, bass extension is increased whilst the dedicated mid/high panel delivers a highly detailed and open sound stage. Much like the existing Evolution family members launched over the last 12 months, they incorporate the company’s new “OptiDrive” and “OptiDamping” technologies whilst introducing the company’s new “OptiModal” technology. The Evolution AIW750E is designed for use with the company’s existing BackboxFS in stud walls or ceilings. When physically locating the two units, the bass panel benefits from close proximity to floor or ceiling boundary and the mid/high panel should be positioned directly above, beside or below it.
