CDEC launches new Networks division

The AV reseller's new division, CDEC Networks, will provide both wired and wireless networking solutions along with the associated cabinets, switches and fibre optic cabling.

UK-based AV reseller CDEC has launched a new division to complement its existing array of services. CDEC Networks will provide both wired and wireless networking solutions along with the associated cabinets, switches and fibre optic cabling.

Working predominantly within the education sector in schools, colleges, academies and universities, CDEC Networks will also cover additional key sectors such as commercial and industrial installs. The new division will be based out of CDEC’s head office in Kent, with a national remit, working on projects across the UK.

The growing popularity of systems such as Displaynote and CDEC’s exclusive CleverTab Touch Solution, created in partnership with Sahara, has inspired CDEC to develop this new side of the business.

Andy Duckworth, founder of CDEC, said: “With collaboration between devices becoming more and more important, expanding into this arena comes as a natural progression for us. We offer a one-stop shop approach to the design, specification, installation and integration of AV equipment and are now able to enhance our core services with the provision of networks. In supplying the required wireless network and devices we can ensure that all AV equipment installed runs to its full potential. We are confident that this approach will result in a better customer experience for our clients and a more streamlined install process. We can also ensure the high performance of our equipment and not be let down or compromised by third-party Wi-Fi solutions.”

CDEC Networks has recruited Simon Colling to head up the division. He makes the move from Kent-based NCS Technology where he was sales and marketing director up until March this year, and brings a wealth of experience in the network and AV industry.

He said: “I am delighted to have joined a progressive company like CDEC at such an exciting time having known them for many years. The addition of this new division adds even more value to CDEC’s growing customer base allowing them to deal with one company for all their audiovisual and networking needs.”
