CDEC awarded place on £100m university framework

CDEC has been appointed to a £100m framework that will provide the education sector with AV equipment and services over the next four years.

Integrator CDEC has been appointed to a £100m framework that will provide the education sector with AV equipment and services over the next four years. The AV reseller and integrator has become a preferred supplier, designer and integrator for universities and colleges across Wales, London and the South of England after receiving a place on the HEPCW, LUPC and SUPC framework.

The national firm was successful in all three lots of the ‘Audio Visual Equipment and Services Tender’ and will now spec, design, source, supply and integrate a wide range of AV equipment for the universities and colleges involved. The technology is said to include the likes of presentation systems, videowalls, visitor management systems and digital signage.

The agreement will be in place until the end of November 2018, and the universities and colleges can choose between CDEC and other companies that have been successfully appointed to the panel.

CDEC’s managing director, Toni Barnett, commented: “Winning this university framework is truly excellent news that comes within days of announcing our success on a similar NHS framework, giving us a flying start to 2015. This is a key contract win for us that required heavy investment, focus, hard work and dedication. Being awarded a place on all three lots of the framework will take the business to new levels this year and we will be creating 20 new roles over the next two years in line with our strategic expansion.

“We are incredibly excited to provide the higher education establishments involved with the latest AV solutions to suit their specific needs and make a real difference to such a vast number of students’ learning and academic experience.”
