Casio announces return of industry expert from BenQ

Casio UK has revealed that Alan Garratt has re-joined the company after a year with competitor BenQ.

With over 17 years’ experience in the AV industry, Garratt has been appointed to the role of business development manager and will lead the Casio UK team in its growth across the channel, focusing on the expansion of its projector division.

Garratt’s AV career started with global education company Promethean, where he spent seven years as senior account manager, handling its extensive customer database and increasing sales within the UK. His subsequent move to Casio UK in 2009 brought with it the opportunity to manage the reseller accounts which he did for nine years. During his 12 month-stint with BenQ he was responsible for the management of its product portfolio and global customer database.

“It is such a pleasure to welcome Alan back to Casio,” said Tim Gould, deputy managing director at Casio. “His experience and knowledge in the sector is unrivalled and under his leadership the portfolio of lamp-free projectors will continue to grow in established and new sectors, thanks to the development of new technologies at the top of our range. He will be representing the team at ISE as we showcase our entire range alongside the European team on stand 1-F120.”

“It’s fantastic to be back at Casio and I’m looking forward to working with the projector division to accelerate expansion across the channel,” commented Garratt. “Innovation is at the heart of Casio and with the growth of 4K in recent years, our latest Large Venue Series more than meets industry demand. There is much to look forward to in 2018 with BETT on the horizon and ISE, which will be a great opportunity to showcase our lamp-free projector range.”
