Calibre to partner with EIKI Deutschland

Having recently signed an agreement with Paradigm business unit Simulation Displays, Calibre has now expanded its relationship with EIKI to further increase its coverage.

Image processing hardware company Calibre UK is to partner with EIKI Deutschland to offer a combined projection, warping and projection mapping sales and support offering for the German market. The move is the latest step in Calibre’s strategy to extend its global reach in the professional AV space.

The partnership will see EIKI Deutschland featuring products from Calibre’s HQView range of multi-image scaling and blending processors in its German-language marketing collateral, giving resellers access to a tailor-made solution for projects requiring the images from multiple projectors to be warped, mapped and blended together.

“Calibre already has a German office and staff on the ground who can provide German-language support,” said Guido Sterzing, managing director of EIKI Deutschland. “What EIKI brings to the party is a large network of dealers and resellers who, up until now, have lacked a ‘one-stop shop’ for multiple-image systems. It should be an excellent partnership and we can’t wait to get started.”

“We have been working closely with EIKI International in the U.S. for a while now and have definitely increased our market share of the proAV space as a result,” said Tim Brooksbank, managing director of Calibre UK. “EIKI makes a range of very high-quality projectors at competitive price points, and in this respect their philosophy very much chimes with our own – providing value for money without compromising on image quality.”

“EIKI Deutschland has been in business for 15 years and the brand has very good acceptance levels in the German pro-AV community,” he continued. “We feel sure that the success we have enjoyed with EIKI in North America can be replicated in Europe, too.”

EIKI will feature Calibre’s HQView320 and HQView520 image processors on its stand at ISE.
