Busy autumn of training for Peavey

Peavey Commercial Audio has undertaken a raft of MediaMatrix/NION training courses and seminars during recent months, with more to follow throughout 2011.

Since August, courses have been held at Peavey Italia in Ancona; at Peavey’s distributor in Jeddah, Abu Moammar; at Saudi Media Systems in Riyadh; at the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford-upon-Avon; and at Peavey Europe HQ in Corby.

Tailored to different needs in specific territories, and with relevance to integrators, consultants and more, the courses provide a blend of theory and practical training on all new MediaMatrix and Crest Audio Contractor products.

PCA operations manager James Kennedy remarked of MediaMatrix: “We have developed one of the most powerful and flexible processing platforms in the world. If we want our customers to be able to exploit its full potential, it’s up to us to provide them with the tools to do that. That means training and education, it means involving the customer with what we’re doing and our plans for product development, listening to their requirements and reacting accordingly. In fact, to that end, we’re going to redesign our training courses slightly for 2011 to target two different areas.”

The first course will be aimed at consultants and those who are involved in the ‘heavyweight’ programming side of MediaMatrix projects, while the second will be geared towards the end-user who doesn’t necessary require the background on projection creation, but needs to know how to operate the system once it has been installed and commissioned.

The plan is to offer the programming training course at least once per quarter at Peavey’s dedicated training facility in Corby. Upkeep/maintenance training will be offered on-site for local staff once the system is commissioned. Both of these are in addition to training requested by sales partners within their own territories, which is available upon demand.

Dates will be announced shortly for the first part of next year. In the meantime, online training modules are now available at http://mmtraining.peavey.com/moodle/
