Boston Acoustics has announced a raft of significant changes to the company's operations in the UK following major investment by parent D&M Holdings. The developments include the appointment of the Boston Acoustics' first UK general manager, a new dedicated support team, and an enlarged and strengthened field sales team, all of which reflects D&M's confidence in the continuing strength of the Boston brand.
The aim to is to establish Boston Acoustics as a major force in the UK consumer electronics marketplace. This is phase one of a major development for the company that includes the launch of radical product innovations as well as important rebranding.
Bob Barnard will become general manager of Boston Acoustics UK following several years of success working with Denon. Setting up the three-strong support team - comprising a product manager, a customer services advisor and business analyst - Boston Acoustics aims to deliver an unparalleled technical and application support function, both to reseller partners and end users.
The newly strengthened field sales team includes some familiar names, in the form of John Hill, who will be handling the North and Northern Ireland and Steven Price who will take care of the Midlands and South. With such an experienced team on board, Boston Acoustics intends to improve communication and provide a better level of service than ever before. While operating as a distinct brand, Boston Acoustics will also continue to benefit from D&M's back-office expertise.
