UK CI industry distributor AWE has taken on the full range of Imerge sound and movie servers, writes David Davies. Based in Epsom, Surrey, AWE Europe’s existing distribution portfolio includes the Philips Pronto range, projectors from Cineversum, CI speakers from Flatline Acoustics USA and KEF.
Items in the Imerge range include the MP1000 networked media player (pictured) and the MS5000 1080p video and multi-zone audio server, which is said to offer “genuinely audiophile sound quality”, 1080P Hi-Definition video scaling, an in-built DVD/CD player and a three terrabyte removable hard drive system consisting of seven 500GB hard drives based on a RAID5 system.
“The Imerge products are already in demand from our customers,” commented Stuart Tickle, managing director of AWE. “As a specialist install product, to access the MS5000 media server customers need to attend our one-day training course to gain hands-on experience and learn best practice for installations. They will also learn about the forthcoming Imerge ProntoScript Module which allows for whole house control of the server with two-way feedback allowing the user to browse their music and movie database from the Pronto.”
