AWE is to act as the exclusive distribution partner for Yamaha high-end AV products into the UK residential custom installation market. The announcement is the latest development in a six-year association between Yamaha and Epsom-based AWE that has seen the latter supply Yamaha amplifiers, players and receivers to custom installers.
The new exclusive arrangement covers the entire range, including mainstream and premium products, meaning that AWE will also be the sole provider to CIs of Yamaha’s iPod-compatible products, Soavo 1 audiophile speakers and the Z11 AV amplifier.
Yamaha sales manager Richard Ashby commented: “Since audiovisual products became part of Yamaha Music UK, our business and profile has developed rapidly. We recognise the importance of CI to our business, and we believe that the partnership with AWE is the perfect combination of product, service and support – powered by music!”

Other brands for which AWE provides distribution include the Philips Pronto range, Cineversum projectors, Flatline Acoustics U.S.A. CI speakers, and Xantech residential control and IR distribution products.
