Audio manufacturer ECLER receives €1m boost on acquisition

ECLER's new owner, NEEC Audio Barcelona, has injected €1m into the company under the terms of the deal.

Pro audio manufacturer ECLER has been acquired by NEEC Audio Barcelona. Under the terms of the deal, which took effect on 1 December 2014, the personnel and management team have transferred to the new business, and continue to be led by Enric Casimiro. Additionally, the company has received a capital injection of €1m.

Founded in Barcelona in 1965, the ECLER business is known for its focus on technology. The brand is also known by for the design of its AUDEO speaker cabinets, in collaboration with leading Italian industrial designer Italdesign Giugiaro. NEEC says it intends to invest in innovation in the pro audio field and to ensure that the ECLER brand is associated with both advanced technology and excellent design.

Still based in Barcelona, ECLER exports 80% of its production. Over the last decade the company has focused its efforts in commercial audio solutions – away from its original foundation in the DJ market. Its main markets include retail, education, corporate, hospitality and sports & fitness, where it continuously seeks to improve sound quality, innovation and sustainability. Its products have been installed in well-known universities in the UK (Bristol), France (Paris Descartes) and Italy (Università di Roma), in five-star hotels such as Le Fouquet’s (Paris) and Fullerton Bay Hotel (Singapore), as well as in luxury retail outlets such as Louis Vuitton and Burberry.

The first fruits of the company’s new programme of product development which will be shown at ISE 2015 in Amsterdam from 10 to 12 February 2015 (Stand 7-H180).
