Audac launches MTX multi-zone audio matrixes

Audac will introduce its latest range of matrix systems at ISE incorporating two new models - the MTX48 (able to control four stereo zones) and the MTX88 (able to control eight different stereo zones).

The MTX series is the latest addition to the Audac range of matrix systems, filling the gap for ‘a very cost efficient matrix system for a wide area of multi-zone audio applications,’ which the company hopes will become the new standard for multi-zone audio.

Two models have launched at ISE with the same features, but with different zone possibilities. The MTX48 can control up to four different stereo zones while the MTX88 can control up to eight different stereo zones.

Besides all the standard functions expected from a mid-market audio matrix, they offer features that were previously only available in high-end products, such as a fully functional web based interface to control and configure an audio system from any device connected in a LAN network. Other features include apps for iPhone and iPad to control the system and the potential to add additional control panels and wall audio input units to zones.

The MTX also includes two microphone inputs with priority, phantom power, three-band tone control, four line inputs, with four (MTX48) or eight (MTX88) output zones. The systems will be available by the end of February.
