On Monday 28 January, Integrated Systems Europe is sponsoring a Technical Tour of EYE, the new film museum in Amsterdam.

UPDATE: Integrated Systems Europe advises that due to an overwhelming response, the limited places on this tour have now been filled. Readers are encouraged to keep an eye out for the next ISE Visitor newsletter for more details. Thank you for your interest in thisAmsterdam project!

On Monday 28 January, Integrated Systems Europe is sponsoring a Technical Tour of EYE, the new film museum in Amsterdam. Organised by ISE and projectiondesign and hosted by EYE, the new film museum in Amsterdam and its preferred AV supplier BeamSystems, the Tour will showcase the innovative technology solutions present in three distinct areas of EYE: the Panorama, the Pods and the Playground. Giving visitors an insight into the rich historic film archive maintained by EYE, these three areas each take a different approach to telling the story of the Dutch movie industry.

In the spectacular Panorama, visitors are surrounded on all sides by film clips and can navigate around the EYE collection thematically using built-in touch screens. The Pods, meanwhile, are specially designed cabins with sofas and CinemaScope screens, in which famous celebrities ‘appear’ to facilitate the search for movie clips and other historical material. Finally, in the Playground, visitors are treated to an evolving programme of interactive installations that offer a light-hearted take on the history of film culture. Using state-of-the-art visual projection, display, interactive screens, ‘sound shower’ audio and much more, the BeamSystems installation at EYE, realised in collaboration with Submarine and Northern Light, showcases museum systems integration at its best. The ISE 2013 Technical Tour will leave the Amsterdam RAI at 11:00 on Monday 28 January, returning to the show’s host venue at 13:30. Admission to the Tour is free of charge, but places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
