AC-ET to host Zero 88 Open Day

4th July sees AC-ET hosting an open day that will feature a range of lighting solutions from Zero 88.

A.C. Entertainment Technologies (AC-ET) Lighting division will be hosting a dedicated open day event in conjunction with Zero 88 to showcase the UK manufacturer’s latest lighting control technologies, including the recently launched Orb XF and Solution lighting consoles, the ZeroWire CRMX series of wireless transmitters and receivers and Ethernet/DMX splitter solutions.

The Open Day will be held on Wednesday 4th July from 11:00am till 4:00pm in Leeds at AC-ET’s demo facilities. Refreshments will be served.

Zero 88 has been designing and delivering entertainment lighting control solutions for over 40 years for applications including theatre, education and rental.

The Open Day will comprise a full Zero 88 product range overview, followed by comprehensive ‘hands-on’ training with the latest products. AC-ET and Zero 88 staff will be on hand throughout the day.

The Orb XF builds on the Zero 88’s Orb lighting console, adding fader control for intensity channels and live sub-master playback, making it, according to AC-ET, ideal for live events. It combines theatrical syntax with 60 multifunctional faders for control of both moving lights and dimmer channels.

The Solution lighting desk is a rugged, feature-packed console built on the ZerOS software architecture. It offers simple, hands-on control of generic dimmed lightsources and moving lights for up to 248 devices across 2,048 channels, with submaster and cue-stack control. For larger multi-purpose venues, the Solution XL can control 296 devices and has 600 submasters.

The ZeroWire CRMX Wireless range of transmitters and receivers has been developed specifically for lighting industry needs, and is based on technology that avoids interference by using cognitive frequency-hopping techniques. This is said to make it extremely robust even in environments saturated with wireless traffic.

The Open Day will also demonstrate remote operation of Zero 88 lighting consoles using the latest Apple and Android devices, and feature other models from its various ranges.
