Abu Dhabi to host new educational technology event

The organisers of BETT have announced a new show for the Middle East, with the first edition to take place this November.

The organisers of BETT have announced a new show for the Middle East, with the first edition to take place this November. BETT Middle East is endorsed by the Abu Dhabi Education Council and is set to capitalise on the region’s growing education sector, which encompasses more than 90,000 schools and 50 million students.

BETT says that invitations to the event will be sent out across the region, including to education ministers and government representatives from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, Libya, Lebanon, Syria, Kuwait, Jordan, Egypt and Oman.

To be co-located with Building Future Education, BETT Middle East will feature more than 100 exhibitors as well as a Software Zone, Special Educational Needs Zone and Training Zone. Free to attend, the event will take place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC, pictured) from 21-22 November 2010.

“By bringing the BETT experience to the Middle East, exhibitors and visitors will benefit from the proven successful format of BETT in the heart of this ever-expanding region. Working with ADEC we are looking forward to bringing leading educational technology and solutions to the Middle East,” commented Paul Dunne, MD of BETT organiser Emap Connect.
