The US session, entitled ‘Dispelling the Myths of AC Power Management’, will be held on June 20 from 8am to 10am in Room Avila A at the Anaheim Hilton. The session wis designed to offer InfoComm show attendees a new perspective on power management, and will be led by Furman product specialist Tom Holmes.
“In this session, dealers and manufacturers will gain knowledge of the latest advances in technology and how they benefit contractors, installers, and end users,” says Holmes. “Attendees will leave with the ability to confidently recommend or install the right power management product for any application.”
Using case studies and multiple active product demonstrations, Holmes’ session will include a technology overview, application solutions, product information and a Q&A segment.
One week later in London, during the CEDIA Expo at ExCeL, Furman will host a second seminar titled ‘AC Power – The Foundation of Every Premium Home Theatre System’. The session will be hosted by Garth Powell, designer of Furman’s Reference line of home-theatre AC power products, and takes place at 10am on 28 June in the South Gallery Rooms at ExCeL.
“Today’s installers face unprecedented challenges when it comes to AC power and its effect on home theatre systems,” says Powell. “With ground loops, hum bars and damage from surges, comprehensive power management control and conditioning is no longer an option for the performance and protection of home theatre components – it’s a necessity.”
During the session, Powell will discuss power regulation and the various means to create it, and will provide an explanation of AC conditioning and balanced power. The seminar will cover the dos and don’ts of uninterruptible power supplies, as well as how the right power conditioning technology can greatly improve the performance of amplifiers and other equipment.
