A+K/Mitsubishi road show gets off to a successful start

UK distributor Anders + Kern and Mitsubishi have just completed the first stop in a three venue tour that will visit Huddersfield and Hatfield in April.

Suffolk-based Anders + Kern and Mitsubishi Electric UK joined forces to create a travelling showcase for the very latest AV, facilities management and digital signage products. The first stop on a three-venue UK tour took them to the Dynamic Earth education and conference centre in the heart of Edinburgh. The state-of-the-art visitor attraction was the ideal venue to demonstrate the range of professional LCD displays from Mitsubishi Electric, including the most recent addition to the range, the touch screen interface option launched at ISE this year. Mitsubishi Electric’s 42″, 52″ and 65″ displays can now be supplied with its dual-point touch screen system, designed for creating durable interactive displays for public display and digital signage applications.

Al digital signage companion to Mitsubishi’s pro-LCD range, Anders+Kern’s PADS digital signage content management system allows users to incorporate virtually any type of multimedia content, including scrolling text, video, live news feeds or real-time data, into a visually appealing display on a single screen or across an entire network. Other technologies on show included the PolyVision eno interactive whiteboard, the Evoko room management interface and a wide selection of AV hardware mounts and brackets from SMS. Audio-visual and facilities management applications for Mitsubishi’s range of IP cameras were also highlighted, with demonstrations of how their image analysis capabilities can be integrated into intelligent building systems. Mitsubishi also exhibited its latest professional projector line-up, including the 8000 Series large venue projector, demonstrated using a Stewart Filmscreen screen, and its latest ultra-short throw unit, which is designed for education applications.

“We’ve really enjoyed the chance to get out and demonstrate some of our latest products to both integrators and end-users,” said Fraser McDonald from Mitsubishi Electric. “The roadshow approach seems to have proved popular as it allows visitors to see a lot of technology in a short time.”

“The roadshow is a great way to reach out to potential AV users who don’t have the time to visit major events like ISE or BETT,” said Anders+Kern’s John Gorman. “We hope that by giving people the chance to experience the capabilities of today’s products at first hand, they’ll go away with a better idea of how this technology can make a dramatic difference in their working environments.”

There will be two further events in the current roadshow, visiting Galpharm Stadium Huddersfield on the 5th April and Mitsubishi Electric’s Hatfield headquarters on the 7th of April. Events on both days run from 09:30am to 16:00pm. Entry is free, but visitors should pre-register by visiting http://www.anders-kern.co.uk/technologydays. All pre-registered visitors will be entered into a free prize draw to win an iPad at each of the venues.
