A.C. Special Projects earns CHAS accreditation

In a development that reinforces its commitment to satisfying the highest UK safety standards, the company has achieved Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) accreditation. To achieve pre-qualification to the nationally recognised and accepted threshold standard, the company’s H&S processes and procedures were evaluated in detail to establish that safe working practices and correct risk assessments were being carried out on their installation projects.

With many organisations making CHAS compliance a condition for all contractors working on their sites, A.C. Special Projects decided that it was an essential requirement. It also provides “peace of mind” to all organisations that the company conforms to the industry’s most widely recognised safety standards scheme and follows an “unblemished record” of health and safety over the years.

A.C. Special Projects managing director Peter Keiderling (pictured) told IE: “With an ever-increasing emphasis on the importance of Health & Safety and best practice in our industry, accreditation to CHAS has become key to enabling us to work with many County Councils, major construction

companies and educational establishments. This, combined with our commitment to creating a safe working environment for our staff, made this a worthwhile addition to the high technical standards that we already work to.”
