Flatline Acoustics’ new weather-resistant speakers are specifically oriented towards exterior use, reports David Davies. Available in the UK through AWE Europe, the compact LS-400-OS weather-resistant speakers are supplied in white with a paintable grill and bezel.
As a result, says AWE, they can be easily modified to blend in with any hard landscape or garden environment. The drive units and cabinets are designed to withstand damp and humid weather, while the cabinets also offer UV resistance against sunlight.
Incorporating a 4in IMPP woofer and 1in silk dome tweeter with a recommended amplifier power of between 10-100W, the speakers can be mounted vertically or horizontally with ‘yoke’ style brackets.
Invited to contemplate the current performance of Flatline Acoustics products in the UK residential market, AWE MD Stuart Tickle told IE Residential: “Flatline Acoustics’ sales are going from strength to strength as many installers and customers alike are looking for high quality yet affordable solutions.
