Experience audio at its best in the all-new Audio Demo Rooms

ISE 2023 will feature a suite of dedicated Audio Demo Rooms in Hall 8.0, welcoming a host of manufacturers showcasing their latest solutions in optimum listening conditions.

AED Group, Coda Audio, d&b audiotechnik, Holoplot, Martin Audio, Pioneer and Void Acoustics are among those taking advantage of these controlled specialist environments, with each space tailored to the specific requirements of each company.

Visitors to the Audio Demo Rooms will be able to experience the full power of innovations such as the X1 Matrix Array (pictured) from Holoplot, which will be demonstrated with its brand-new rigging for the first time. Daily listening sessions will enable attendees to experience the unique capabilities of Holoplot technology, including 3D Audio-Beamforming, coverage zones, virtual source localisation and multi-zones.

A seminar programme will also offer visitors a deeper dive into the technology, introduce new sound system design software Holoplot Plan and present examples of how products can be used in the real world.

Martin Audio will showcase core product lines, dividing demos up by throw distance. James King, director of marketing at Martin Audio, explained: “Up to 15m we will showcase our ADORN commercial series and our install staple CDD series. This will be followed by TORUS, our constant curvature, designed for 15-30m throws and concluded with our Wavefront Precision optimised line arrays, WPM and WPS for throws of over 30m.

“Audio Demo Rooms are a vital resource for manufacturers like us to have our products heard by a large audience who may not have normally had the chance. A further benefit of the demo room is that we can truly showcase our new product solutions and this will certainly be the case at ISE 2023 as we have two new products that are launching at the show.”

Also showcasing new products is Void Acoustics. During each demonstration attendees will experience Void’s signature sound first-hand and receive in-depth information about the products. Void Acoustics’ founder and creative director Rog Mogale will host the final session of each show day with a featured presentation. He will discuss several existing products with listeners, as well as exploring the concept behind Void Acoustics’ new products for 2023.

In Audio Demo Room E1, ISE 2023 visitors will be able to experience the d&b Soundscape firsthand and learn what object-based audio reproduction is and how it benefits a wide range of applications.

d&b Soundscape provides audiences with an immersive audio platform that shapes meaningful and intense connections between audiences and artists, panellists or speakers, using object-based mixing and emulated acoustic signatures.

“Nothing can compare to experiencing Soundscape in person,” commented Ralf Zuleeg, director soundscape enablement at d&b. “I invite everyone at ISE to visit the d&b demo room and experience the possibilities themselves. I guarantee attendees will leave with a sense that they can push the boundaries of what is possible.”

In Audio Demo Room B10, AED Audio will be demonstrating the flexibility of its audio system, creating 23 set-ups using only five accessories. The FLEX6 multipurpose powered line source speaker, suitable for a variety of applications, will be demonstrated. Due to its rotatable waveguide, the FLEX6 can be placed on a pole, stacked, used to create a column array, flown as a line array of up to 16 cabinets, and more.

In addition to the demo rooms in Hall 8.0, there will also be an outdoor demo area between halls 5 and 7 with a rotating programme of audio demos.
